Ever wonder what our factory looks like? Well we thought we would take a few sneaky pics this morning! Here they are…
Some of the usual faces are missing as they decided to sneak off for their breakfast when we arrived with the camera!
It’s possibly for the best, Monday mornings aren’t great anyway and especially not if you have a 4am alarm!!
Here is some of our Shetland Cod being filleted by one of our skilled filleters
Orders all ready and packed waiting for our drivers to load them into their vehicles and take them directly to our customers homes. Fresh fish filleted and delivered in a matter of hours.

This is what we arrived to find at the head office this morning. It only means one thing…. Mr’s Bee is going to be cooking up a storm in the kitchen today. Yippee!!
Whenever we recruit a new member of staff at Regal Fish Supplies, our new recruit must go through a thorough training process which comprises of visits to not only the head office but also our Factory in Grimsby.
They will look at the various processes that are involved from the point of order with our call centre staff or doorsales staff, to the actual fish being prepared for delivery by our skilled filleters. From there they attend the delivery itself where our friendly and professional drivers deliver the product direct to our customers home and are on hand to advise on anything which the customer may require.
At every level of the process, our staff are highly trained and fully equipt to offer their expertise. This is why we go to such lengths to ensure all of our staff are offered these tools.
This particular stage of the training is where Mrs Bee will go through the product training and explain the different types of fish and of course how to cook them. Sometimes using beautiful recipes to bring out the best flavour of the ingredient.
Here Janet explains to our new recruit how the flavours can be enhanced using various toppings, herbs and spices.
Although we love our fish as it is, simply baked, steamed, poached or panfried and served very simply with vegetables. It is necessary to provide our customer with an alternative as some people may not particularly enjoy the taste of a particular type of fish, irrelevant of how fresh the fish my be.
Sometimes the addition of herbs, spices or sauces can totally change the taste of the fish and for some that is just what they need.
It really is amazing what can be done with a few ingredients and in such a short space of time! Take a look at the recipe section on our website to see some of Mrs Bee’s fantastic fishy creations!
Your Haddock this week has been caught by the Venturous and landed at the Port of Cullivoe in the Shetland Islands.
